About Steve Kew
I am a former Parachute Regiment Warrant Officer and passionate mountaineer. I have been a keen rock climber and all-round mountain enthusiast from a very young age and strongly believe that the great outdoors is a fantastic environment to learn and impart knowledge, but also to just enjoy and take in the beautiful UK countryside.
I am a qualified professional summer Mountain Leader and First Aid instructor and have thirty years of experience of adventurous training with military colleagues, running training expeditions all over the UK. I have also took my passion for the mountains to other countries summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya and various Alpine peaks, including Mont Blanc.
I thrive on using the skills and experience gained in both my career and my own personal enjoyment of the mountains to help others to experience what the hills and mountains have to offer. I run walking and hiking days and wild camping expeditions in the hills and mountains of Snowdonia/Eryri and the Lake District. I also provide First Aid training for groups, individuals, and businesses.
My knowledge and experience mean I can assist others to enjoy and explore the mountains safely, whether it is a gentle hill walk or a desired summit. Providing guidance and training to build confidence, develop the skills required to safely navigate the mountains or to just enjoy a lovely day out taking in the views, I can provide whatever you need, please contact me for further information.
